City of Refuge is a faith-based organization that helps individuals and families in the Baltimore move from crisis to stability. They have provided responsive programming for over 20 years, with programs designed to provide intentional and supportive relationships for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Helping Up Mission is a community of hope in Greater Baltimore, aimed at restoring lives devastated by addiction, homelessness, abuse and poverty. It provides life-changing programs, healing, support and a way out.
The Well is a community of women transformed through long-term relationships, appropriate programs of action and the healing power of love. It helps women own their value, identity, and purpose so they can build stable, independent lives.
Established in 1987 by local faith and community leaders, LARS helps people in need of food, housing, and financial assistance. Their mission is to not only help individuals achieve stability and well-being but also long-term self-sufficiency.
The City of Laurel Multi Service Center, a partner of the Homelessness and Community Services Taskforce, aids in reducing homelessness and improving wellness in the Laurel area by providing access to human services and enhancing community stabilization.
The Community Action Council of Howard County offers thoughtful, strategic assistance to help individuals and families move from crisis to self-sufficiency. The CAC supports families in achieving long-term stability through services for education, food, housing, energy and weatherization assistance.
Shepherd's Table is located in downtown Silver Spring and aids people with food insecurity or those who are homeless through programs that provide immediate solutions and ongoing support.
Interfaith Works is a nonprofit organization that supports more than 35,000 residents of Montgomery County annually by providing emergency shelter, housing assistance, essential resources, and employment services.
TESS Community Action Center strives to alleviate poverty, and to help low-income Montgomery County residents live with dignity, by providing access to services and resources essential for living in their community.
The Aya is an affordable housing site in Southwest D.C. which provides emergency shelter and support services to as many as 50 families. One of several of the District's initiatives to reduce homelessness, it serves as a safe, immediate housing and care option when families are in crisis.
Martha's Table is a community-led organization, serving over 30,000 Washingtonians every year, with programs and projects to support strong children, families and communities. Founded in 1980, it has now established itself in Ward 8 to remain close to the people it serves.
